How to Enrol

Learn all the steps in our enrolment process.

APPLICATIONS FOR THE 2024 TE WHATU ORA PROJECT SEARCH PROGRAMME ARE NOW OPEN.

ENROLMENT PAGES

1. Register for our Open House

Students and their support networks, who are applying for our 2024 intake are invited to our OPEN HOUSE event on Tuesday 20th June, 4:00pm at Burwood Hospital. Details have been sent to schools and EGL Connectors.

2. Applications Open, Tuesday 20th June 2023

Begin the application process for the 2024 programme by filling out these forms below. 

 

More documentation is also required and will be sent to you.

3. Applications Close

All applications for our work training internship must be received by 5pm, Friday 4th August 2023.

4. Skills Assessment Day

Applicants and their families will attend a skills assessment and information morning on Thursday 31st August 2023.

 

Potential Interns will complete a range of practical tasks and interview for a place in the 2024 programme. Applicants will be supported by current interns, Te Whatu Ora staff and Project SEARCH Tutors and Trainers.

5. Selection Letters

Successful applicants will be sent an official letter of acceptance into the 2024 programme by Friday 22nd September 2023.

6. Enrol at Riccarton High School

All interns accepted in Project SEARCH are enrolled at our managing school, Riccarton High School.

Your information is passed to Riccarton High School to complete the enrolment.

7. Paperwork Day

The necessary Te Whatu Ora onboarding paperwork will be completed at Burwood Hospital in late 2023 (time to be advised). Families will be sent the required forms and required ID prior.

8. Orientation Visit

Event to welcome interns to Burwood Hospital arranged for the first week of February 2024 (time to be advised).

9. Project SEARCH 2024 Begins

February 2024 (time to be advised).
